Fish curry paste ingredients:

1 large tomato chopped
1/2 inch ginger piece
3 cloves of garlic
1/4 th cup coriander leaves(cilantro)
1/2 tsp chili pwdr(hot)
1 tsp paprika pwdr(this imparts a nice red hue to the curry u can alternately use Kashmiri chili pwdr)
1 tsp coriander pwdr
1 tsp cumin pwdr
1/2 tsp turmeric pwdr
1/2 tsp salt

Directions: Cut the fish in meduim pieces and marinate in salt and pepper for 10 mins.In the meantime,
grind all the ingredients listed under the Fish curry paste with 1/4 th cup water in a blender to a smooth paste..Heat oil in a deep bottomed vessel.Add the curry leaves and let sizzle for 10 seconds .Add the prepared fish curry paste and saute on a low flame till the oil seperates from the mixture.Keep stirring occasionally.Add the marinated fish to it and gently stir  for  5 mins .Add the tamarind pulp and 1 cup water ,mix well and cook for an additional 5-7 mins.Garnish with coriander leaves(cilantro).Serve hot with white rice or rice rotis.
